DTU is testing future space technology for exploring the Sun

In the future, several satellites flying in formation over great distances will act as one large space telescope. This way, far more efficient space instruments can be obtained than today. In collaboration with ESA, DTU Space is helping develop this innovative technology that will initially explore the Sun's upper atmosphere.

Recently, the Proba-3 system was tested in Belgium with the help of ESA and DTU experts in space navigation. The next big step is to send the two satellites into space in the autumn. Photo: ESA, J. Versluys.
